It wasn't about Shinobu, it was about Zenitsu breaking the dress code himself and ogling the girls. The Agatsuma guys are always too obvious in their leering, so most people, including their own family members, reprimand/beat them for it.

Bro Zenitsu's character development is going so good. Yes he still runs away like a coward, but now he appears to realize, from time to time, who and/or what he must fight for. However, he still thinks everyone, including Tanjiro hate or don't like him at all. Boy oh boy I can't wait to see him get a reality check on this one!

Zenitsu's astoundingly low self esteem kinda makes me really sad. I do hope he gains some by the end of the series.

It seems that the guys and the woman who deceived Zenitsu got their punishment in ep. 8 by Muzan. The woman got a very special treatment.

What?! The only commonality between that flashback and the Asakusa alley trio is that there's a burly bald guy among them. Which wasn't that odd given the era. Some men shaved their heads if they were from the poor layers of society to prevent lice infestation, and the bigger dudes often worked either in manual labor such as wares loading/unloading and transportation or loan shark and recovery "businesses". Point of this being that, between potential hygiene issues and jobs needing big men capable of physical feats, big bald dudes were not uncommon.

The reason Inosuke threw Tanjiro to the Demon was because he wanted to show Tanjiro that Inosuke can be a good team mate too lmao. Anything Tanjiro can do, Inosuke can do too.

Its interesting that Tanjiro doesnt even know Zenitsu can fight, let alone how powerful he is. He was only able to master 1 form of Thunder breathing and has mastered it to its full potential. That was the potential the old man saw in Zenitus, he was a former Hashira and only trained Zenitsu.

No doubt we are going to see the bully that was in the flashback again.
